1:30 SmartPace Teams
Matt O. - 1:30 pacer
Matt started running cross country in high school after getting cut from the soccer team, and quickly fell in love with distance running. The camaraderie of group runs, the calm of a long solo run, and the thrill of racing are all integral parts of Matt's life. Matt has been a distance runner for 25 years, building up from 5k's to marathons and a couple ultras (not too many of those though!) Matt has completed over 90 half marathons and close to 80 marathons, and has paced over three dozen events. He is looking forward to helping people meet their goals as a pacer!
1:35 SmartPace Teams
Landry R. - 1:35 pacer
Landry Ratliff has been a dedicated runner since 2016, competing in distances ranging from 400 meters to 50 miles. In 2024, he shifted focus to marathon running, achieving a personal best of 2:59:30. Landry Ratliff also holds a mile PR of 4:40, showcasing versatility across various race distances.
1:40 SmartPace Teams
Cameron H. - 1:40 pacer
I started marathoning back in 1999 with no idea what I got myself into. Fast forward to today, I got a lot of "what not to do" more than "what to do" stories. For me, marathons are always a work in progress. I am slowly working on running a marathon in all 50 states, with 16 completed thus far. If work didn't get in the way, I would be done by now. My annual goal have been to do the "Run the Calendar Year" to keep me motivated and sharp in between marathons. I just love the sport of long distance running. This will be my first time pacing a group and I am very excited for this opportunity. We will be partying for 13.1 miles at the Stilly Half Marathon.
1:45 SmartPace Teams
Peter E. - 1:45 pacer
Peter Euler has lived in Kansas for over 25 years and ran in college at Hutchinson Community College and Pittsburg State University. He is an avid runner who has completed over 60 marathons in 42 states and hopes to complete one in all 50 states some day. He works as a civilian on Fort Leavenworth and has served over 20 years in the Kansas National Guard, deploying 4 times. He truly enjoys running and helping others learn to see the benefits of running and completing challenges.
1:50 SmartPace Teams
JEFFREY W. - 1:50 pacer
Jeff’s running career began in 2009 and ran his first marathon in 2010 at the OKC Memorial Marathon. He has completed 51 marathons, including Berlin, Chicago, NYC, London, Tokyo and Boston (5 times). He started a Hansons Marathon Method training group in OKC with a couple other runners and have helped introduce the method to more than 60 others. Jeff has paced 1:35, 1:40, 1:45 and 1:50 half marathons and 3:30, 3:40, 3:50 & 4:00 marathon groups. There could be ‘bad dad’ jokes or trivia questions along the route. Jeff’s long term goal is to run a sub-3:00 marathon.
1:55 SmartPace Teams
Kevin G. - 1:55 pacer
Kevin is a half marathon pacing coach at Fleet Feet Tulsa who began running in March 2020 at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
After running his first half marathon in 2:28:03 in December 2020, he managed to trim nearly 45 minutes off his time in 16 months to achieve his current PR of 1:43:27.
Kevin ran his first marathon in June 2023, completing Grandma's Marathon in 3:49:02 while achieving a negative split.
This will mark his 10th half marathon as a pacer — including his fourth Stilly Half — and 24th half marathon overall.
2:00 SmartPace Teams
Lynn K. - 2:00 pacer
Running for more than 35 years including 53 marathons with 5 of those Boston Marathons. Have helped successfully pace several Half Marathoners in the 2:00-2:10 finish times and for many individuals striving to finish a race or a specific goal. Really enjoy the social aspect of running and take every opportunity to promote the participation in racing. I really enjoy encouraging other runners. I am the race director for the Pistol Pete 5K/10K race in Perkins. I will not only pace but give advice and encourage you during the race to make for a successful day!
Brad V. - 2:00 pacer
I have been running consistently since 2011 after an 18 year break. I’ve completed 5 full marathons and numerous halfs. My first race as a pacer was in 2019 and I’ve had lots of fun as a pacer since then. I look forward to helping others achieve their running goals!
2:05 SmartPace Teams
Gena W. - 2:05 pacer
Gena has been running for years. She started running 5Ks soon after graduating from high school and throughout college she fell in love with distance. Her father wanted to run a marathon for his 50th birthday so she joined him. He made it look easy to run and then have a full day of work ahead of him so She thought it wouldn't be that bad. That first marathon was Gena's worst! If you have experienced a tough race please join Gena as a pacer. She'd love to see you accomplish your next!
2:10 SmartPace Teams
Lyle R. - 2:10 pacer
Lyle has been running for over 30 years and has completed more than 125 Marathons or Ultra Marathons. He enjoys giving back to the running community by coaching and pacing runners to crush their Marathon goals.
Eric R. - 2:10 pacer
Eric absolutely loves running. He went from having never run as a kid to now running marathons as an adult. He wants to help others find the same love for running that he has, and help them reach the finish line in the process.
2:15 SmartPace Teams
Jimmy L. - 2:15 pacer
In 2013 a coworker asked if I wanted to run the OKCMM relay team. Since then running has been my main hobby. From that time on, I have completed 16 marathons. My PR marathon is 3:37:45 and the half marathon is 1:41:46. The passion for running has improved the quality of my life from reducing stress to gaining fitness, a great way to be involved in the community and to promote a healthy living style. I'm excited and honored to be part of SmartPace Teams. My goal is to encourage & motivate runners to reach their finishing time goal. Please come and run with me!
Justin C. - 2:15 pacer
This all started at OKC Memorial Marathon back in 2008 for Justin. Since then, he has completed close to 50 marathons, many half’s, 3 Iron distance triathlons, and many more races to come. He just loves to stay active and keep training.
It is always an honor to be part of a pacing team. The satisfaction of helping others to cross the finish lines in their goal times is such a high. Aside from helping to hit their goal times, he also enjoys making it fun for his pace group runners. They might even break into singing along the way.
His next major goal is to run all six marathon majors in the next few years. He ran Chicago in 2019 and Boston in 2021 (going back this year). He is registered to run Berlin in September. Will try to get into New York, London, and Tokyo in the next few years.
Come meet Justin! All the best and keep the pace!
2:20 SmartPace Teams
Marie G. - 2:20 pacer

She is looking forward to encouraging other runners and helping them reach their goals.
2:25 SmartPace Teams
Jennifer S. - 2:25 pacer
My name is Jennifer Stong and I’ll be pacing the 1:55 1/2 marathon group. I’m 49 years old and live in Edmond, OK. I took up running in 2003 and have run 84 marathon and 12 ultra-distances. I have done 24 The Hard Way in OKC three times and my most miles I’ve completed yet was 113.1. I’ve also participated in 6, 8, and 12 hour endurance runs. My marathon PR is 3:07:55 which ironically occurred during the Go Short, Go Long, Go Very Long 50K where I was the overall winner in 3:45:48. On October 11th, 2021 I will be running in my 6th consecutive Boston Marathon. I look forward to meeting everyone in my group and sharing another great race together.
2:30 SmartPace Teams
Tom M. - 2:30 pacer
Tom ran track and cross-country in high school and mostly 10K’s during and after college. After a couple decades of work and family obligations his physician told him to exercise. Running was familiar and races provided measures of progress. He’s run over 40 marathons, including Boston, Chicago, New York, Berlin, and London along with local marathons, half marathons, 10 and 5K’s.
He experienced the advantages of the SmartPacing system and is delighted to share that with you, whether this is a first race, a PR attempt, or a comeback race. He will ease you into an efficient pace, going slow in uphills and faster in downhills, along with strategic walk breaks at aid stations. He’ll encourage you, distract you, and entertain you to your goal. He has paced numerous races over several years and enjoyed helping runners achieve their goals.
Ryan W. - 2:30 pacer
Ryan started running in 2017 for fun and exercise. Ryan began running with a local running group in south Oklahoma City, where he found accountability and support. After 7 full marathons and over 15 half marathons, Ryan decided it was time to encourage and support other runners. I'm honored to be a part of the Smart Pacing team. Ryan's goal is to get you across the finishing line to feel the excitement and accomplishment he has had so many times.
2:35 SmartPace Teams
Andrea H. - 2:35 pacer
Andrea started running in 2010 when her mom (in her late 40's!) ran her first half marathon and encouraged Andrea to also pick up running. It was a very slow start, she did not enjoy it at first, but it finally clicked and a love of running was created. She has ran through 2 pregnancies and all the fun life things that two small kids can throw at you! She has a love for pacing because there is no greater joy in her life than to share the love of running with others as well as helping others achieve their goals. Andrea has accomplished many PR goals because of other pacers so she would love to be that person for someone else, either running their very first race or just trying to break a personal record! Andrea's kids think she wins every race she goes to since she comes home with a medal and there is no reason to correct them on that :)
2:40 SmartPace Teams
Wael S. - 2:40 pacer
Wael has been running since 2008. He has completed several ultra trail races, several half marathons and full marathons. He enjoys trail running with the Kansas City Trail Nerds. Wael completed three 100 mile ultra runs with a sub-24 hour finish in Feb, 2014.
2:45 SmartPace Teams
Kathryn W. - 2:45 pacer
Kathryn has been a competitive runner for 40 years. Over the last 26 years, she has completed 193 marathons/ultramarathons over 75 of them officially pacing. Her prowess to maintain a consistent pace and finishing so close to goal time, has earned her the moniker "The Pacer Queen". She is in pursuit of running all 50 states, but is slowed by the willingness to run the same marathons every year. Continuous streaks include 26 Houston, all 19 Oklahoma City Memorial, and all 13 Route 66 marathons. The positive of running so marathons anywhere is that her son has been to more states and countries than most adults. Kathryn's favorite quote is "To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift." Steve Prefontaine.
2:50 SmartPace Teams
DeAnne M. - 2:50 pacer
DeAnne began running in 2006 during a journey to lose weight and change her health destiny. Starting with the Couch To 5K program (on a treadmill in her bedroom), she has gone on to run 10 full marathons, 25+ half marathons, and many, many 5K, 10k and 15Ks. In addition to pacing, she has served as a certified running coach for beginning, half and full marathon groups in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her goal in pacing is to not only motivate and finish on time, but to make the experience as positive and fun as possible.
2:55 SmartPace Teams
Becky N. - 2:55 pacer
Becky is a 58 yr old runner from OK and has been running for over 25 years. She started doing half marathons in 2010 and marathons in 2011. First half was OKC Memorial and first marathon was Big Sur. Since then, she's run 42 halfs, 14 marathons and 1 ultra. Becky has paced 5- 15k races, 13 half marathons and 1 marathon. She has come within 30 seconds of goal pace every time. She has been pacing the 2:45 - 3:00 half marathon finish times and generally does run/walk intervals. She has found that 3 min/2min w/r interval works very well for those times, but that interval is not set in stone. She will modify according to what the group would like to do. She loves doing what she can to help people reach their goal times.
3:00 SmartPace Teams
Chris L. - 3:00 pacer
Chris was born and raised in Southern California. He started running in college for exercise and was introduced to the world of racing by his brother in 2013. Chris finished his first race (which was a 10K) at Disneyland in 2013. Since then he has completed two marathons and 44 half marathons (and counting). Running has changed Chris’ life for the better and he has no desire to stop. Chris lives and trains in Oklahoma City where he also coaches with the local running store, Red Coyote Running and Fitness in their half marathon training programs. Chris has been pacing for a few years. He is dedicated to helping all runners achieve their goals.
Heather P. - 3:00 pacer
Heather started her running journey in 2016 after adopting two Labrador puppies. She discovered running was a great way to run off puppy energy and make connections in her new community. She quickly learned she could travel the country racing and was hooked. Heather has run numerous races and is well into her goal of running a half marathon in every state. Through her adventures, she found an amazing running community that has turned into family.
Heather is a half marathon pacing coach and RRCA certified running coach. She loves having the opportunity to cheer on runners as they achieve new distances and learn they are capable of so much more. It has been one crazy, nonstop, running adventure!
