Robert S. - 1:30 pacer

Robert Stocklaufer is a 24 year old runner who recently qualified for the Boston marathon! He spent 6 years in the Army National Guard where he discovered running. That is when he made the decision to become the fastest runner for his units PT test which he accomplished by running 2 miles in 10:34. He now has a Marathon PR of 2:43:24 when he placed 2nd overall at Revel Rockies marathon in Colorado.

Angela S. - 1:35 pacer

Angela is a UESCA certified running coach and has been running marathons since 2016 and ultramarathons since 2022. A big part of Angela's training involves stroller running with her children as she is a stay-at-home mom. Some of her racing highlights include 3 ultramarathon wins, running the 2023 Boston Marathon while pregnant (3:26), a 1:32 half marathon pushing a stroller, and completing a 100k at a Backyard Ultra while expressing milk for her infant at intervals. As a pacer, Angela hopes to help runners hit one or more of their goals by focusing on breathing correctly, fueling, running form, and not starting out too fast.

Kenny M. - 1:40 pacer

Kenny began running in high school, competing in both cross-country and track, as an alternative to playing football. He has been a runner ever since. Kenny ran at Northwest Missouri State University (Go Bearcats!!), before being sidelined by injury. After college, Kenny began running again to stay active, and to get in better shape. He has run over 500 races to date, including 68 marathons (PR of 2:50), and over 125 half marathons (PR of 1:20). Kenny believes the biggest mistake people can make is starting off too fast. He is looking forward to sharing his passion for running with others and helping them and encouraging them to reach their running goals. Through his high energy and motivation, Kenny is confident he can help you achieve your goal time. What does he enjoy about running? Helping people in reaching their goals, being active, and the camaraderie and atmosphere in the running community. Also, running allows him to eat lots of Peanut M&Ms (it's a mild addiction...ha) without too much guilt.

Jeff ran through high school and college to cut weight for wrestling often running 30-50 miles per week. In 2009 he decided to focus on running completing his first half marathon and training for his first marathon. Jeff has completed 33 marathons, 4 50Ks and 1 100K. While striving for continuous improvement in his own running he has a passion for helping other runners achieve their goals.

Xiaolin L. - 1:50 pacer

Xiaolin was passion about running in high school and college, and he started running again when his son Sihan went to college in 2012. He is an avid runner who has completed over 15 marathons in three counties. His goal is to run all world marathon majors in near future and become a six star runner. Xiaolin has paced the Garmin Marathon, Lincoln Marathon, and Kansas City Marathon a couple of times using the Smart Pacing strategy.

Nick was always a runner, but during his first two decades on earth, he avoided races and instead ran on tennis courts and baseball diamonds. Upon moving (back to) Kansas City in 2014, he decided to complete a bucket list item and finish a half marathon. He finished faster than he ever thought possible and was hooked. Since then, he completed multiple races ranging from 5k to half marathon. He ran his best races using SmartPacing, including his most recent half marathon PR. Anil absolutely loves running. He took up running as a drunken challenge over Octoberfest and has been a fan of the sport since. He started running in 2018 and is trying to give back to the community by pacing others to their PBs. His 5K PR is 19:49 and Half PR is 1:33:01. Brian L. - 2:05 pacer

Brian has been a runner since high school. Running looks a little bit different for him these days. A lot of his time spent recently involves running his kids to ball games and practices. Even though times are busy, Brian really enjoys the thrill of running both as a hobby and in races any chance he gets! His best running companion is his high energy, German Short-haired Pointer, Duke. Brian's running career consists of running countless 5K's, three sprint distance triathlons, several half marathons, and eight full marathons. The highlight of his running career was running Boston in 2:58 back in 2006. He began pacing races in 2011 and has been a pacer for the Kansas City, Rock the Parkway, Gobbler Grind, Garmin, and Hospital Hill half marathons. Brian has also paced the Kansas City full marathon as well. Brian is extremely excited and confident that you will reach your goal pace and have a great time if you're running with his team!

Ben picked up running in college as a way to stay healthy and balance the stress of his class work. After his first half marathon in 2017, he’s caught the “race fever” and has participated in 10 half marathons and 3 full marathons. He enjoys the atmosphere that he gets to create when pacing races and helping everyone cross the finish line with a smile on their face!

Chris ran on and off for years before committing to consistent training in 2022. His first half marathon was a great experience thanks to a dedicated pacer, and now he hopes to do the same for others. He emphasizes the importance of hydration in any conditions and encourages runners to focus on small, manageable goals that lead to bigger achievements.

Libby W. - 2:20 pacer

Libby was a competitive gymnast growing up and thrived on the structure and pain of sports. She wanted to get back into another sport once the time consuming medical school and residency were completed, so she decided to start running. She then went on to get involved in triathlon, now having completed 10 Ironman 70.3 events, including the 2018 World Championships in South Africa, one full Ironman, 5 marathons, nearly 50 half marathons, and countless 5K and 10Ks. Her current goal is complete the 6 World Major Marathons (3 down, 3 to go!). She loves cheering on others and never takes running or herself too seriously. She is honored to run alongside fellow athletes as a pacer to help them reach their goals just as others have done for her!

Trenton is an active duty Army recruiter who found a passion for running about 8 years ago. Since becoming a recruiter he has ran 2 full marathons (with another in the future) and 8 Half Marathons ranging from 1:56-2:06. Jessi started running in 8th grade and all throughout high school, unfortunately didn’t continue after though. After having kids though she had the urge to run some races and her first half marathon which was hospital hill! She achieved her goal time because of pacers and knew one day she also wanted to be a pacer. Few years later she did her second half marathon and her third with her brother. Helping her brother finish his first half was the best feeling to her! Then and there she KNEW she had to be a pacer! She is so excited to help others achieve their goals and make the race as fun as possible! She’ll be joking around and cheering you on!

She follows the Smart Pacing philosophy - starting out slow to warm up, taking it easy on the uphills, taking advantage of the downhills, and walking through every aid station to fully hydrate. She is fully focused on helping each runner achieve their race goal while having fun along the way. Her goal is to have her runners cross the finish line ahead of her with a smile on their face!

Sharon started running after having 3 kids and was "bitten" by the marathon bug. Sharon has completed 24 marathons (her favorite marathons are the NY marathon, Big Sur marathon and the Chicago Marathon, London Marathon, Berlin marathon), the Disney Dopey 48.6 mile challenge, One 50k, more than 200 half marathons locally, across the country and internationally, is a "Double Agent" (member of both the Half Fanatics and Marathon Maniacs national running clubs), KC Express Member, Team Beef member, Black Girls Run member, National Association of Black Marathoners member and a member of the 100 half marathon club. She looks forward to helping others reach their goals and possibly sharing the thrill of crossing the finish line with those that are new to running half marathons. Sharon uses a Galloway run/walk strategy which will allows for a fun, comfortable, strong finish.
