It doesn't matter if you win or lose, it's how you play the game.
You have completed your race. Congratulations!
Replenish your fluids & be sure to eat some protein along with some carbohydrates shortly after the race for maximum recovery.
Although a hot shower or hot tub sounds like a good idea, a cool shower or an ice bath will help your muscles recovery much quicker.
Wear your medal through the airport & show it off to all your family & friends.
